Wayne Halliwell

Dr. Wayne Halliwell is an internationally recognized authority in the areas of individual and group motivation, team-building and performance excellence. He is a professor at the University of Montreal where he has been teaching and conducting research in the field of sport psychology for the past 25 years.

Dr. Halliwell works with professional and world-class amateur athletes in both individual and team sports and he has served as a team sport psychology consultant with a number of National Hockey League teams. For the past 20 years he has helped Canada’s successful National Junior Hockey Teams get mentally and emotionally prepared for the World Junior Hockey Championships.

Dr. Halliwell has played hockey at the university level in Canada and the USAand as a professional in Europe. He has also coached from youth hockey to college and university hockey.

In addition, Dr.Halliwell is a past-president of the Canadian Society of Sport Psychology and he has worked as a sport psychology consultant with Canada’s Olympic Teams at several summer and winter Olympic Games.
